Passed M.B.B.S. from M.P. Shah Medical College, Jamnagar in June 1995 with 1st Class and best performance in Surgery.

MS (General Surgery)

Underwent extensive training in 3 years Residency Programme at M.P. Shah Medical College and Guru Gobindsingh Hospital, Jamnagar from July 1996 to June 1999 during which I had a chance to work in General Surgery as well as various Super-specialities like Urology, Neurosurgery and Plastic Surgery. Passed MS (General Surgery) in July 1999 at 1st attempt with best performance in the batch.

DNB - Urology

Got trained from the finest institute of Urology in the country at Muljibhai Patel Urological Hospital, Nadiad during which got valuable experience in Diagnostic and Operative (Open, Laparoscopic, Endourology, Reconstructive Urology and Transplantation) Urology and presented papers in various National and Zonal conferences. Performed many surgeries independently during the training as well. Passed DNB - Urology in 2004.

Internship (July 1995 to June 1996)

1 year compulsory rotatory training in Medicine, Surgery and Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Sir T. Hospital, Bhavnagar and 3 months in rural area.

Assistant Professor in Surgery (Sept 1999 to June 2000)

Worked as Assistant Professor in Department of Surgery at M.P. Shah Medical College and Guru Gobindsingh Hospital, Jamnagar during which performed many major surgeries independently. Attended conferences and presented papers in State and Zonal conferences. Also had experience of teaching the under and post graduates.

DNB Resident in Urology

Worked as Resident in Urology at Muljibhai Patel Urological Hospital, Nadiad during which worked and got trained in Sub-specialities like Endourology, Andrology, Female Urology, Transplantation and Reconstructive Urology. Performed independent surgeries including Upper Urinary Tract, Lower Urinary Tract, Donor Nephrectomies, Reconstructive Surgeries, Paediatric Urologic Surgeries, Basic Laparoscopic Surgeries, etc. Also presented several papers in National and Zonal conferences. Was fortunate to work with and assist world renowned urologists visiting MPUH, Nadiad from all over the world like Dr. Lnderbir Gill (USA), Dr. Mihir Desai (USA), Dr. Andreas Gross (Germany), Dr. Glenn Preminger (USA) and Dr. Gopal Badlani (USA).

Research

Was actively involved as investigator in the first world trial on "Balloon Dilatation followed by Laparoscopic Ureterocystoplasty in Small Capacity Bladder" at Nadiad with Dr. Inderbir Gill.

Consultant Urologist at B.T. Savani Kidney Hospital, Rajkot (May 2004 to Nov 2005)

It is a 75 beds Super-speciality Tertiary Care Nephro - Urology Hospital equipped with most modern instruments and catering the needs of Saurashtra region of Gujarat which has a population of about 10 million. Was running an Independent Unit in Urology in the Hospital and performed various Open and Endourological Surgeries and actively took part in various Diagnostic and Operative Camps organized by the Hospital. Was Incharge and Head of Laparoscopy and Urodynamics unit.

Consultant Urologist at Surat since Dec 2005

Started with a part-time Urologist at K.P. Sanghavi Hospital, Surat and got attachments as a Visiting Consultant at the top hospitals of the city like Mahavir General Hospital, Mission Hospital, BAPS Hospital and Surat General Hospital. Developed Laparoscopic Urology at Surat and was the first Urologist in South Gujarat to perform Laparoscopic Nephrectomy, Radical Nephrectomy and Pyeloplasty. Started "EXCEL Hospital", a state of the art Advanced Laparoscopy and Urology Centre at Surat.

Started Kidney Transplantation program with his team at Seventh Day Adventist Hospital in 2021
Got trained in Robotic Urology on Da Vinci Surgical System, the world leader in robotics
